The Great East Japan Earthquake: Repaying Kindness

On March 25, in collaboration with the JICA Alumni Association, some of those who had previously participated in the JENESYS group of Indonesian delegates to Japan were kind enough to provide their cooperation in voluntarily collecting donations to assist those affected by the recent earthquake in Japan.

In other countries as well, we have heard many stories of former participants in the JENESYS delegations to Japan collecting donations for Japan.

Across the sea, there are young people who still retain an affection for Japan, even after returning to their home countries, and who are engaging in autonomous activities aimed at helping Japan to recover from this disaster. We are delighted about this and it gives us courage.

We have received a great many kind words and offers of support from across the globe.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for this. Thank you all so much.
When contacting us, people from many countries have used such expressions as
"It's at a time such as this that we want to repay Japan's kindness"
and
"The time has come to repay Japan's kindness",
which has made us understand anew the depth of friendship that has been cultivated with people around the world through Japan's exchange and cooperation activities so far, and we feel moved by this.

We would like to overcome this disaster as quickly as possible, so that we can set at ease the minds of everyone who is worried about us, and then "repay their kindness" in turn.
