English summary is as follows:
From November 12 (Fri.) to 14 (Sun.), twenty two high school students from Yunnan, both boys and girls, visited our school and experienced homestays. We would like to report briefly about what they experienced during those three days.
12th (Fri.): The twenty two students arrived at our school around 10 am and attended a welcoming ceremony. After that, they participated in first-year students' Japanese Calligraphy and Oral Communication (1) class and second-year students' Chinese classics class.
In each class, they enjoyed active interactions with our students. From 2:25 pm, an exchange party was held in our gymnasium for the Chinese students and all of our second-year students. Our principal gave an address at this party, as did Chinese students; then our student body president gave a welcoming speech in Chinese. After that, Chinese students performed songs and played musical instruments, and in turn, our Japanese drum club students welcomed them with their dynamic drum performances. After the exchange party, from 5 pm, Chinese students met their host families and headed for their homes.
13th (Sat.): Chinese students experienced each host family's warm hospitality. Some host families showed them around Fukuoka City and others took them to nearby resort and commercial facilities and for eating out. 14th (Sun.): A farewell ceremony was held in our school canteen from 12 pm. It was the last interaction between the Chinese students and their host families, and they had pleasant chats over lunch. The Chinese students performed folk dances and songs, and the ceremony was closed with an address from each host family.
Finally, we would like to thank all the host families for the hospitality they extended to the twenty-two Chinese students, welcoming them, and providing empathetic care to them. Thank you very much.
