Youth Group Visiting Japan
The JENESYS Programme and My Host Family
(Participant in the Philippines university student group visiting Japan May 2009)
First of all, I would like to say that it was a pleasure and a privilege to have participated in the JENESYS Programme. I’m very thankful and appreciative of the opportunity you have given to me.
The most memorable moment in my Japanese programme was the home stay in my host family. They were very welcoming and warm during the span of time that I stayed in their home. They're like my second family that I truly love as much as my real family. If given a chance, I would totally want to go back to the Hyogo prefecture and visit my host family in Sanda City.
After the program, I was keen on communicating with them. I exchanged e-mails with them at first instances. Then in June, I received a letter from them with enclosed pictures of us when I was with them. After that, surprisingly they sent me birthday card on my last birthday. I was really happy to have been connected with them. Months later, together with my classmate and co-delegate, I sent a letter greeting them on Christmas.
